Our mystery spinner, Digvesh Rathi, was adjudged the Player of the Match for his match-defining spell against Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Friday.

Defending 203, our spin sensation Digvesh hogged the limelight as he conceded just 21 runs in his four overs and also bagged the wicket of MI’s Naman Dhir to guide us to a 12-run win at our fortress, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

After winning the Player of the Match award, Digvesh paid tribute to his idol Sunil Narine.

“I'm really enjoying it. I like to get batters out. I watched Sunil Narine bowl and from that time I took to bowling. I want to make my mindset more attacking, want to be like Narine, on how he stays calm even during pressure situations,” the 25-year-old said in the post-match presentation.

Digvesh also spoke about how he bamboozled Naman in the match and gave us the massive breakthrough.

“Before that over, I spoke to you (Pant), we wanted a mid-wicket. But we did not have one, he looked to play through there and that move really worked for us,” he added.

Earlier, Mitchell Marsh (60) and Aiden Markram (53) slammed scintillating half-centuries while David Miller's cameo of 27 runs off 14 balls helped us post 203/8 in our 20 overs.

We later rode on an excellent bowling performance to restrict MI to 191/5 in their allotted overs to secure a brilliant victory at home.

Having registered our second win in IPL 2025, our boys will take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
