Ahead of our IPL 2025 clash against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), we have received a massive boost as our star pacer Avesh Khan has joined our camp.

Our right-arm pacer has returned to training after he received clearance by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team after recovering from a right knee problem. Avesh will now be available for selection against SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.

“I am back in Lucknow, so I am very excited about this season as well. When I played for Lucknow, the team qualified. So, I will try my best to give a good start to Lucknow again,” Avesh said after joining the team.

Having last featured in a competitive game in January, Avesh was doing his rehab at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and cleared one of his final fitness tests on Monday.

“We will always give our hundred percent. Just want to ask our fans to support us and send their good wishes,” our pacer stated ahead of a mouth-watering clash against SRH.

Since making his IPL debut in 2017, Avesh has picked up 74 wickets in 63 matches at an average of 26.68.

Avesh was previously part of our squad in 2022 and 2023. He has bagged 26 wickets for us in two seasons and will look to spearhead our pace bowling attack in IPL 2025.

Having impressed with his variations, seam movement, and slower deliveries, Avesh made his international debut against the West Indies in February 2022. Since then, Avesh has represented India in 25 T20Is and eight ODIs so far.
