IPL 2025: Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants eye maiden title

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will aim to make a fresh start under newly appointed captain Rishabh Pant in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Under mentor Zaheer Khan and head coach Justin Langer, we will look to bounce back after narrowly missing out on a playoff spot last season due to an inferior net run rate (NRR) and finished seventh in the league phase with 14 points from 14 matches.

Having previously finished third in 2022 and 2023, we are determined to clinch our maiden IPL title this season under the leadership of Rishabh Pant.
Ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, we retained our five players - Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni.
Our flamboyant West Indies batter Nicky P (₹21 crore), young pacer Mayank Yadav (₹11 crore) and star leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (₹11 crore) were our capped retained players while fast bowler Mohsin Khan (₹4 crore) and talented batter Ayush Badoni (₹4 crore) were our uncapped picks.
Later at the Mega Auction, we roped in our captain Rishabh Pant for ₹27 crore as he became the most expensive player in IPL history.
We strengthened our overseas contingent by acquiring services of South African trio of David Miller (₹7.5 crore), Aiden Markram (₹2 crore), Matthew Breetzke (₹75 lakh), Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh (₹3.4 crore) and West Indies speedster Shamar Joseph (₹75 lakh).
Akash Deep (₹8 crore), Shahbaz Ahmed (₹2.4 crore), Manimaran Siddharth (₹75 lakh), Himmat Singh (₹30 lakh), Digvesh Singh, (₹30 lakh), Akash Singh (₹30 lakh), Prince Yadav (₹30 lakh), Yuvraj Chaudhary (₹30 lakh), Rajvardhan Hangargekar (₹30 lakh), and Arshin Kulkarni (₹30 lakh) were some of the Indians stars we signed at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
