Everything you need to know about our backroom staff for IPL 2025

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have assembled an experienced and accomplished backroom staff for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
Indian fast-bowling legend Zaheer Khan will be our mentor as he will be aiming to guide us to our maiden IPL title.
Zaheer was previously involved with the Mumbai Indians where he initially served as director of cricket and later as head of global development from 2018 to 2022.
As a player, Zaheer also represented three IPL teams - Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils.
Between 2008 and 2017, the former left-arm pacer bagged 102 IPL wickets in 100 matches at an impressive economy of 7.59 across ten seasons.
Known for swinging the new ball and reversing the old, Zaheer represented India in 92 Tests, 200 ODIs and 17 T20Is.
Considered one of the best fast bowlers Indian cricket has ever produced, Zaheer ended his illustrious career with 597 international wickets in 303 matches across three formats.
Legendary Australia cricketer Justin Langer will continue as our head coach for the IPL 2025 season.

Under the guidance of Langer, our boys will look to bounce back stronger after narrowly missing out on a playoff spot last season.
The former opening batter was earlier appointed the coach of the Australian cricket team in May 2018.
During his tenure, Langer guided Australia to their maiden ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in 2021. He also helped Australia clinch the Ashes series 4-0 in 2022.
Additionally, Perth Scorchers won the Big Bash title three times under his mentorship.
Meanwhile, Lance Klusener, Vijay Dahiya and Rajat Bhatia will be our three assistant coaches for the 2025 season.
South African cricket legend Lance Klusener was also part of our coaching set-up in IPL 2024. He will once again work closely with Zaheer and Langer during the upcoming season.
With 5,482 runs and 272 wickets, Klusener was regarded as one of the finest all-rounders to have graced the limited overs game. He was also the Player of the Tournament in the 1999 World Cup.
Nicknamed "Zulu", Klusener has served as the head coach of the Afghanistan national cricket team and also coached the Zimbabwe and South African national teams in varying capacities.
The former Proteas all-rounder is a familiar face in the Super Giants family having guided Durban's Super Giants to the SA20 final in 2024.
He also has served in various coaching roles in the TNPL, BPL, Euro T20 Slam and T10 League.
Former India wicketkeeper-batter Vijay Dahiya is also back as our assistant coach for IPL 2025. He was previously part of our backroom staff in 2022 and 2023.
Dahiya will bring wealth of experience to our set-up, having served as the assistant coach of Kolkata Knight Riders and a talent scout for Delhi Capitals. He was also the head coach of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket.
Furthermore, we have added Rajat Bhatia to our formidable roster of coaches for the 2025 season.
Having represented the likes of Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Rising Pune Supergiants, Rajat featured in 87 IPL matches. The former all-rounder also played a key role in helping KKR clinch the IPL title in 2012.
A domestic cricket stalwart, Bhatia’s career spanned more than 20 years. He amassed 6482 runs and 137 wickets in 112 first-class games, also playing 119 List A and 146 T20 matches.
