Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will square off against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their opening match of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 24.

Led by newly-appointed captain Rishabh Pant, the Super Giants are placed in Group 2 alongside SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), Gujarat Titans (GT), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals.

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are clubbed in Group 1.

The TATA IPL 2025 will follow the same format as last season with 10 teams competing for the title. 

As per the schedule, each team will play the other teams in their group and one team in the other group - determined by seeding - twice, and the other four teams in the opposite group once.

Apart from facing SRH, GT, MI and DC twice, LSG will lock horns with PBKS placed in the other group on two occasions in the upcoming edition of the TATA IPL.

Meanwhile, the Super Giants are scheduled to play all their seven home matches at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Rishabh Pant’s men will play three three afternoon matches scheduled to start at 3:30 PM IST, while the remaining league stage matches will commence at 7:30 PM IST.
