Our swashbuckling opening batter, Mitchell Marsh, has completed 1,000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Marsh achieved the milestone during our IPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals at our home, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, on Tuesday.

Our Australian star reached the landmark when he was unbeaten on 35 against the Capitals. He was later dismissed for 45 off 36 balls, which was laced with three fours and one maximum.

The 33-year-old has been in scintillating form in IPL 2025. He has already scored 344 runs in eight matches at an average of 43 and a strike rate of 160.74, with four fifties to his name.

Since making his IPL debut in 2010, Mitchell Marsh has amassed 1,010 runs in 50 matches at an average of 24.05 and a strike rate of 137.41.

Meanwhile, Aiden Markram’s 52 off 33 balls, Marsh’s 36-ball 45 and Ayush Badoni’s 36 off 21 balls helped us post 159/6 in our 20 overs.

Later, Markram bagged two crucial wickets, however, it wasn’t enough as the Capitals chased down the target in 17.5 overs.

With five wins in nine matches, we have accumulated 10 points on the IPL 2025 points table.

Our Super Giants will aim to quickly bounce back against Mumbai Indians in our upcoming IPL 2025 clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
