After a tough home defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC), our boys will look to quickly bounce back with an aim to complete a season double over Mumbai Indians (MI) in our upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

The MI vs LSG IPL 2025 match will start at 3:30 PM IST.

Under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, we had registered a commanding victory over MI in the previous meeting in IPL 2025 at our fortress, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Twin fifties from Mitchell Marsh (60), Aiden Markram (53), along with contributions from Ayush Badoni (30) and David Miller (27) powered us to 203/8 in 20 overs.

Later, an impressive all-round bowling performance helped us restrict the MI batting line-up to 191/5 in their allotted overs in Lucknow.

Digvesh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Shardul, Thakur and Akash Deep picked up one wicket each to guide us to a comfortable win at our home.

Despite a defeat in our last game, we have 10 points from nine matches and will look to bag two crucial points against MI to remain in contention to finish in the top four.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran has been our leading run-scorer in IPL 2025. Our flamboyant southpaw has already amassed 377 runs in nine matches at an average of 47.13 and a strike rate of 204.89.

Apart from Pooran, our opening duo of Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram have been in scintillating form in the ongoing tournament.

Marsh has accumulated 344 runs in eight games, while Markram has scored 326 runs in nine matches so far.

In the bowling department, Shardul Thakur has been our wrecker-in-chief in IPL 2025 with 12 wickets in nine games at an average of 28.

Our mystery spinner, Digvesh, has bagged nine wickets, while Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi have eight scalps each.
