Ravi Bishnoi has earned his place in the Indian squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe, starting on July 6. The BCCI announced the 15-member squad on Monday. The entire series will be played in Harare and will conclude on July 14.

The 23-year-old leg-spinner has already played 24 T20 Internationals for India, taking 36 wickets at an impressive average of 19.52 and an economy rate of just 7.50. Bishnoi's selection follows an impressive performance in the IPL 2024, where he picked up 10 crucial wickets at an economy rate of 8.77.

Bishnoi was the highest wicket-taker in the T20I series against Australia in 2023, claiming nine wickets in five matches at an average of 18.22. He was also part of the Indian squad in their last T20I assignment before the T20 World Cup 2024 against Afghanistan.

In the IPL 2023, Bishnoi was a consistent performer, finishing as our top wicket-taker with 16 wickets from 14 innings at an average of 24.44 and a strike rate of 18.93.

Shubman Gill has been named the captain of the Indian team for this tour. The squad also features newcomers Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, and Tushar Deshpande.
