Super Giants gear up for blockbuster clash against SunRisers in Hyderabad

After a thrilling encounter in Visakhapatnam, our boys will be gunning for our first win of the IPL 2025 season as we lock horns with hosts SunRisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, March 27. The evening fixture will start at 7:30 PM IST.
We have arrived in Hyderabad with our spirits undaunted despite succumbing to a heartbreaking defeat against Delhi Capitals in our season opener on Monday.

Our flamboyant Caribbean southpaw Nicholas Pooran and star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh grabbed the headlines with scintillating half centuries in our opening fixture.

Pooran slammed 75 off just 30 balls while Marsh hammered a 36-ball 72 after we were put in to bat. Apart from Pooran and Marsh, our dashing left-hander David Miller also played an eye-catching cameo of unbeaten 27 off 19 balls to power us to a huge total of 209/8 in our 20 overs.
Later, our bowlers put up a spirited performance and reduced the Capitals to 113/6 before Ashutosh Sharma pulled off a heist in Visakhapatnam.
With two wickets apiece, Shardul Thakur, Digvesh Rathi, Manimaran Siddharth and Ravi Bishnoi were our standout bowlers against the Capitals.

SunRisers Hyderabad started their IPL 2025 campaign with a 44-run victory over Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Led by Pat Cummins, the hosts will be expected to rely on their much-vaunted batting line-up featuring the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy.
