Our talismanic captain Rishabh Pant heaped praise on our bowlers after the thrilling victory over Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday.

With nine runs needed off the final over, our star pacer Avesh Khan nailed yorker after yorker as he conceded just six runs to guide us to a nail-biting two-run win.

Electing to bat first, we rode on Aiden Markram’s 66 off 45 balls, Ayush Badoni’s 34-ball 50, and Abdul Samad’s cameo of 30 not out off just 10 balls to power us to 180/5 in our 20 overs.

Later, our bowlers were off to a challenging start as Yashasvi Jaiswal and debutant Vaibhav Suryavanshi forged an 85-run opening partnership.

However, Markram gave us the much-needed breakthrough as he dismissed Suryavanshi, while Shardul Thakur removed Nitish Rana.

Jaiswal then stitched a 62-run stand with stand-in captain Riyan Parag to put the hosts in a great position.

In the final few overs, we scripted a brilliant comeback courtesy of Avesh’s incredible death bowling to secure a memorable victory in Jaipur.

“These kind of matches build character. It was an amazing win,” skipper Pant said at the post-match presentation.

“These are the positive things we always talk about. We are going to do better as a team. All the credit goes to the bowlers for holding their nerves at the right time," he added.

With five wins in eight matches, we jumped to fourth on the IPL 2025 standings with 10 points.

After a thrilling win in Jaipur, we will look to continue our winning momentum against Delhi Capitals at our home, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday.
