Biography
The Australian all-rounder has been a good utility player. He has been one of the top performers in the BBL in recent years. He made his first-class debut in November 2017 and went on to play T20s for Sydney Sixers in the BBL in the same year. He was the leading wicket-taker in the BBL 2019-20 season with 30 wickets to his tally.
Daniel Sams made his IPL debut in the year 2020 for Delhi Capitals but couldn’t make a solid impression in his maiden IPL season. The prolific cricketer was also selected for the national team at the end of the year for the T20 series against India. He has represented the Australian side in 10 T20I matches and has chipped in with 106 with a highest score of 41 runs and 7 wickets with the ball.
He has also represented Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. In the previous IPL season, he came up with his best performance with the ball and bagged 4 wickets after conceding 40 runs against Chennai Super Kings.
In the auction held in December 2022, he was picked by Lucknow Super Giants. He has contributed 44 runs and 14 wickets in 16 IPL matches he has played so far.
