Left-arm fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat has been one of the most consistent performers for Saurashtra in the domestic circuit and has vast experience playing in the Indian Premier League. He picked up a total of 91 wickets from 92 IPL matches before the start of the 2023 season.
The Gujarat lad made his franchise debut for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023 and will look to add a new dimension to LSG’s bowling line-up with his unique set of left-arm variations.
Unadkat played his first IPL match for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010 and was part of their winning team in 2012. Unadkat, however, had a breakthrough season in the IPL when he moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore the following year.
He picked up 13 wickets with RCB all the while bowling economically at 7.55 in 2013. His IPL best of 5/25 also arrived in the same year and helped his team beat Delhi Daredevils by four runs.
Unadkat’s best season, however, came with Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017 when he picked up 24 wickets at an average of 13.41 and aided his team’s run to the final.
Besides featuring for Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Lucknow, Unadkat has played for Delhi Daredevils (2014-2015), Rajasthan Royals (2018-2021) and Mumbai Indians (2022).
