Wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is regarded as one of the most dangerous openers in the world. The South African, along with David Warner and Chris Gayle, are the only overseas players to score 500 in a season three times or more.
Quinton de Kock made a move to Lucknow Super Giants from Mumbai Indians for IPL 2022. He won two IPL titles with Mumbai Indians in 2019 and 2020, scoring 500 runs in both seasons.
In IPL 2022, the South African left-hander hit the stride running and was the third-highest run-scorer with 508 runs at an average of over 36 and a strike rate of 149. His unbeaten 140 against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022 is the third-highest individual score in the history of IPL.
Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul, in fact, put on many unforgettable partnerships at the top of the order to guide Lucknow Super Giants to the playoffs in their very first season. The 210-run stand between KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock for the first wicket against KKR is the highest-opening partnership in the IPL.
