Our flamboyant southpaw David Miller completed the incredible milestone of 3000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Miller reached the landmark during our IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians at our fortress, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday.

The 35-year-old played an impressive cameo of 27 runs off 14 balls in the game against MI, which included three fours and one six at a strike rate of 192.86 to help us past the 200-run mark.

“Great privilege to be playing in the IPL for so long, and when you play for so long, the milestones will come," Miller said in the mid-innings interview.

Since making his IPL debut in 2012, Miller has amassed 3,010 runs in 134 matches at an average of 36.71 and a strike rate of 139.48, including one century and 13 fifties.

Meanwhile, our Super Giants rode on scintillating fifties from Mitchell Marsh (60) and Aiden Markram (53) to post a huge total of 203/8 against MI in our home clash on Friday.

Later, our mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi produced a match-winning spell of 2/21 to help us restrict MI to 191/5 in their allotted overs and register our second win in IPL 2025.

Apart from Digvesh, the likes of Avesh Khan, Shardul Thakur and Akash Deep picked up one scalp each to deliver a memorable bowling performance for us.

After a brilliant home victory, our Super Giants will now aim to continue the winning momentum against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
